Georgia 2-Day Walk Adventures move into the MoveSpring App for Adventure #5! This is the App we will be using for our final three Adventures this summer, as well as for the 2020 Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer Experience! Registered 2020 participants can click here to learn how to sign in to MoveSpring!
Activity Challenge: The Streak challenge pushes you to get at least 30 minutes of activity each day during Adventure #5 in MoveSpring. Try walking in the mornings or evenings when it’s a little cooler to get your steps in each day! Don’t forget to send in pics when you hit your goal to wjones@2daywalk.org!
Fundraising Challenge: Did you know that in 2019, grants from It’s The Journey served Georgians in 102 counties?! Isn’t it awesome to see how far your fundraising dollars can go? We’re challenging you to raise $1 for every county covered by ITJ grants during the next two weeks! Who can raise $102 to serve Georgians in need of breast health care?
Contest: MoveSpring offers lots of ways to get involved and participate with your fellow walkers. You’ll be able to compete on our leaderboard, try and meet the daily streak challenge, receive messages of support from our sponsors, and interact with your fellow walkers in the chat feature! The most engaged user on MoveSpring during Adventure #5 will get the opportunity to announce the countdown to Closing Ceremonies for the 2020 2-Day Walk Experience!

Fundraising Challenge: We need you to help us bridge our fundraising gap! During Adventure #5, you guys pushed the fundraising thermometer up to over $230,500. For Adventure #6, we are challenging you to push it up to $240,000! Who can you ask to support your 2-Day Walk Experience journey today?
Contest: As we strive to hit 1,000,000 steps as a group during this Adventure, we want to reward the individual who does the most work to help us hit that goal! The person who walks the most individual steps during Adventure #6 will win lunch with Stephani!

Activity Challenge: We are challenging you to “walk across Georgia” with a partner- that’s 300 miles in 2 weeks! It’s a HUGE challenge, but divided between two determined people (about 10.7 mi/day each), we think you can do it!
Divide it up even further by tackling the challenge with your teammates. Don’t forget to send in pics to Whitney at wjones@2daywalk.org for a chance to be featured on our Instagram page!
Fundraising Challenge: We’re asking you to try and find one $20 donation per day leading up to the 2020 Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer Experience. For every 50 walkers who commit to raising $20/day between the start of this $20 challenge and the walk, we can fully fund one $20,000 grant in 2021!!
Don’t forget- good old fashioned emails and letters to friends requesting donations are proven to have the highest response rate, second only to an in-person ask. Need help with what to write? Contact Jon at jmcmurdo@2daywalk.org for ideas and a handy template!

It’s The Journey invites you to sign up for the 2020 Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer Experience! This year, instead of 2 days, you’ll have 2 WEEKS to complete your 30 miles!
Beginning Monday, September 21st, you can start racking up your miles for the 2020 2-Day Experience on MoveSpring, our virtual walk platform! You’ll still be traveling 30 miles throughout Atlanta, and will still “see” some of our wonderful partners at B’Rest Stops (called “Milestones” in MoveSpring”) approximately every 2.5 miles! Each Milestone will unlock video or picture messages to help bring the 2-Day experience to you wherever you are!
MoveSpring works with tracking devices (like FitBit, Apple Watch, etc.) or even just your cell phone to track your steps/miles! You can compete on our mileage leaderboard, and we have some really great ideas on how to get support from your donors by incorporating MoveSpring features!
On Sunday, October 4th, we will head out together for our final mile, culminating in a Facebook Live Closing Ceremonies Experience at 12:00 pm, so that we can all celebrate together! More details TBA as we get closer!
Registration is only $35 (includes access to virtual platform, Victory t-shirt, credentials, and year button), and there are no minimum fundraising requirements for 2020! Sign up here!
