The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer is an annual fundraising endurance walk that takes place on October 5-6, 2019, and takes participants through 30 miles of Atlanta over the course of 2 days. Last year, nearly 1,000 walkers committed to fundraising and training for this event.
The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer’s founder, Randi Passoff, began the 2-Day Walk in 2002 when the Avon 3-Day Walk faced financial difficulty and pulled out of Atlanta. Randi’s goal was to create a fundraising event where money raised stayed right in the communities of the participants. We call the 2-Day “the kinder and gentler breast cancer walk” because we strive to include passionate individuals at different levels of physical and fundraising ability- walkers can walk all 30 miles, or just choose to walk 10 miles on one day.
In 2018, over $1,070,000 was raised from the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer! With the money from the walk, It’s The Journey, Inc. is able to fund grants that serve over 100 counties in Georgia. These programs provide mammograms, clinical breast exams, genetic counseling and testing, biopsies, support services, education, and much more. Many of our grants have a specific focus on under-served individuals in our community- uninsured and under-insured women for whom these types of breast health measures are often not available.
Since 2002, the Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer has funded 338 grants totaling $15 million to support breast health programs throughout Georgia.

I am wondering about the registration fees/fundraising amounts…are those amounts per person or per team?
If you want to form a team, how many people can be on a team to walk?
Registration and fundraising is per person. As few as two people can make up a team!
I’ve been trying to take advantage of the Early Bird registration, and have tried several times over the past few days. It doesn’t seem to be working. Since it is down, will the Early Bird be extended?
Hi
I am trying to sign up for 2019 2 day walk. I would like to sign up today so I can use the $30 discount but the registration link takes me to 2017 page. Can you please help me with this.
Thanks!
Selvi
Hi Selvi- the issue should be resolved now, and the discount has been extended through Wednesday! Sorry for the issue, and thank you for joining us in 2019!
Hi Rebecca,
So sorry for the delay! Our software providers have resolved the issue, and the discount has been extended to Wednesday, October 17 at midnight. Thank you for your persistence, patience, and for joining us in 2019!
Not sure what I did wrong-but when I registered my husband Gene (Vito) and I for the 2019 Georgia 2 Day-there was no provision for the discount. We paid the full $320. We registered 16 October. Sherry Lazzaro
Hi Sherry! Please contact Linda, and she will help you get sorted out. Her email is lshein@2daywalk.org.
I am interested in sponsoring this event, can I get some additional information as well as a deadline to become a sponsor?
Hi Mitch,
Thank you so much for your interest in sponsorship! I will send you the sponsorship info!
Best,
Whitney Pack
Can someone under 14 walk?
Hi Jason,
Unfortunately, no, we cannot have youth under the age of 14 participate in our event per insurance compliance.
Hi- is there going to be another registration discount?
Hi Robin! Please contact Jon at Jmcmurdo@2daywalk.org.
Hi – what happens if someone is not able to get the $1000 fundraising commitment?? They cant’s walk??
Hi! We require walkers to have 50% of their fundraising goal when they check in at the 2-Day Walk Weekend in order to participate. At that point, you would be required to sign a commitment form for the balance of your fundraising goal, and are given an additional month to meet that goal. If you are still a little short when the additional month is up, the credit card you put down on your commitment form would be charged for the balance of your fundraising goal (but we always call and discuss things with you before taking that step). We only ever have 1-2 walkers each year reach that point. You can also drop down to a single day walker with the lower fundraising goal, but in doing so you forfeit your Saturday night hotel room. If you are concerned about fundraising or need help coming up with fundraising ideas, call our office at 404.531.4111 and we’ll help you!
Hi, I would like to register for the 2-day; however, I heard there was a Laborday19 discount. How can I get the link so I can take advantage of this discount? Thank you!
Hi Debra! We’re so excited to have you join us at the walk this year! Here is the link to register: secure.e2rm.com/registrant/EventHome.aspx?eventid=245648#&panel1-1
As you register, it will ask you for a “Coupon Code” or “Discount Code.” Simply type in LABORDAY19 and it will take $20 off your registration fee! See you in October!!
